What does mitigation mean?

Mitigate: to make less severe

A mitigation companies job is to remove any wet material that is unsalvagable, sanitize all affected areas and dry your structure to industry standards, they should employ technicians that are certified in water retoration. If you have had a fire we will do what we can to return the affected items and structure to pre-loss conditions, if we cannot clean the affected items to pre-loss condition we will inform your insurance company that they are a loss due to the fire. Most mitigation companies are not a contractor and are not involved with the replacement of flooring, or structure, but we have a contractor that we work with.
